Terms of Service
1. The service
Tavolen is operated by Andrey Vyshlov, based in London, United Kingdom ("Tavolen", "we", "us"). These terms govern your use of the Tavolen web application and website at tavolen.com. By using the service you agree to these terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Tavolen. If you choose to import a profile from a third-party provider, you must also have a valid account with that provider and comply with its terms.
3. How the service works
Tavolen allows an organizer to create a temporary table and share its unique link or QR code. Attendees may, entirely at their own discretion, add a display name and an optional public profile to a shared roster. A profile may be imported from GitHub or LinkedIn when available, or added using another supported profile link. Anyone with the unique table link can view the roster. The table and its roster are automatically deleted 24 hours after creation.
4. Organizer responsibilities
If you create an event, you are responsible for how you share the QR code. You must not:
- Share the code publicly in a way that allows unknown parties to join a roster that others expect to be a closed group;
- Use Tavolen for events intended to collect or harvest contact data from people who do not knowingly consent;
- Use Tavolen for any unlawful purpose.
5. Attendee participation
Participation is entirely opt-in. By joining a table, you consent to your display name and any public profile link you choose to share being visible to anyone with that table's unique link for up to 24 hours. You may request removal before the window expires by contacting hello@tavolen.com.
6. Prohibited use
You must not attempt to scrape, copy, or store other attendees' data beyond your own personal use for post-event connection. Automated access, bulk collection, or any use of the roster data for commercial purposes without explicit consent of the individuals concerned is prohibited.
7. Intellectual property
The Tavolen name, logo, and all original content on this site are owned by Andrey Vyshlov. You may not reproduce them without written permission.
8. Service availability
Tavolen is provided as a beta service with no guarantee of availability, uptime, or fitness for any particular purpose. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without notice.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any particular event roster will be accessible at any given time.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tavolen's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the service is limited to £100 or the amount you paid to use the service in the 12 months preceding the claim, whichever is greater. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
12. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date above. Continued use of the service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
